Micro Teaching

Thank you for your cooperation and give me your advice.

Strong Point

I think our strong points were that trying to use the method which we learned about presenting structure in the last class. And I think class flowing was strong too;First,we showed you pictures.Second, we said"Do you ~?".Last, ask you to repeat it.By this three steps, students could understand the meaning and the new grammer.

Weak Point

I think we had two weak points.
One was that we needed more practice before the short play.If we did with junior high school students using the same way, could they understand? Although "Do you ~?" is the basic structure, but for them it's first seeing. If we make them understand,we should take much more time.
Other was that we needed more examples not only "Do you play tennis?""Do you like apples?".We should use more nouns.

And my own weak point was that I should practice more because I wathed the peaper several time.By forgetting class flow, perhaps my partner confused,so I want to apologize.

Hello, Radish! This is Pizza.
As you wrote, I think junior high school student will need more examples and practice. But I could enjoy communication with class mates. And your way of presenting grammer was well planned and easy to understand. Thank you for your teaching!

Hi☆This is rozen. My role while your class was the person who join whatever teachers asked me to do.
I also thought that example was a few but it is a good amount in the ten minuts.
Reading paper is one of the unavoidable thing for us while the class because we've not got any experiences. So don't worry.
Thank you for teaching.

Daiki,
Thank you for your teaching. I think your work sheets were well-made. I especially liked vocabulary notes. They would help students making questions very much. But in your class, students would not understand the structure with its affirmative sentence. If I teach a interrogative structure like 'Do you~?', I would teach it in relation to its affirmative. What do you think about it?
Thanks.

Hello, Radish! How about your injury for traffic accident? You did your best for mini grammar lesson though you injured. So it was good.
Good point is that you repeat "Do", "Do you", "Do ypu play", "Do you play the guitar?". By doing this, students can learn structure by heart. And this attract students. It's nice.
But there was a difficult point. I worte it on Wakame's blog. Please check it.
Thank you!! Lastly I pray to heal your injury early.

Hi!This is Nakki.
You and Wakana tried to teach English cheerfully. You had students practice the sentence bit and bit.It was good for students to learn new things.About a work seat you gave students some vocabularies.I think it was very helpful for students when they did the camunicative activity. You give students more practice, and your teaching is more effective.
Thank you for your teaching!!

Daiki,
I thought that your activity was very interesting but agreed with some of the ETM 3 members that you needed more practice before starting the activity.
Good work and I hope that you have learned from this experience.

Hi Do! This is a old friend. I have a long-time relationship.
I enjoyed last class. Because you and your partner say "Do" many times. I remembered that he was called "Do" in his high school days. It means his initial names, "Ogasawara Daiki". I laugh alone every time you say "Yes, I Do".
And I think it is a good point that is "Do", "Do you", "Do you play", "Do you play ―?". Students will remember the sturucture gradually.
Thank you for your teaching! I remember sweet memories. And take care of yourself.

kiki さんのコメント...

Hi Radish,
This is kiki. Well, I agree your opinion that jounior high school students need more example becouse it is first time learning "Do you~?". It's OK that showing the example in conversation and write it on black bord not use pictures. It is shouter hours.
I think your good point is your work sheet, becouse it was saparated, so it was easy to write!
It's good idea for students. I want to use the way to my students in cram school.
Thank you for your teaching.
